"Surrealism in Fashion" Show

"Surrealism Fashion" consists on the use of recycling materials (and not only). To create something new and alternative. Promoting the idea of sustainable artistic and fashionable world. 

First of all I needed to clear out for all of you what surrealism fashion is in case you never heard of it before!

This is a really special post for me! I was part of this project and enjoyed it a lot (I don't think a lot is the right word) 

On behalf of TAW (Tirana Architecture Weeks) events, Polis university (Simina, Sonia and Eranda(my sister)) organized a two-weeks workshop with the students of Art Design 2 & 3, consisting on the surrealism in fashion. 

"The students have been working with the surrealism theories since last year, and now, it was time for them to show you something out of ordinary... The work on two weeks was divided on a).the set design, where the students conceptualized and then painted 8 boards with ideas from the surrealism theories; and b). during the second week, they were let to design a model, which would be made out of recyclable materials, such as paper, cardboard, metal, wood, plastic bottles, balloons, fabric and toilet paper... The work during the second week wasn't easy, actually it took long working hours during the weekend aswell, but as you will see the result was worth it..." these are the words of Eranda (one of teachers of the workshop)

My other sister Julia designed a dress made out of plastic bottles (my first dress) which one I loved so much and was perfect one for me !
