Peas Dish / Gjelle me Bizele


This is one of my fave dishes in our family menu. This is my mum's version how to make it, soon I will show you my grandma's version as-well (awesome same dish, different taste since my grandma is a big fan of spices). You need just few ingredients and the procedure is really simple. Just a quick tip : the amount of water added it depends on the hardness of the meat you're using, so if it's not cooked yet keep adding water. 

Kjo eshte nje nga gjellet mia te preferuara ne menune e familjes sone. Ky eshte versioni se si mamaja ime e ben kete gjelle, se shpejti do te postoj dhe receten e gjyshes sime (e njejta gjelle e mrekullueshme, por shije te ndryshme meqe gjyshja ime eshte nje adhuruese e erezave). Ju duhen vetem disa perberes dhe procedura eshte shume e thjeshte. Vetem nje keshille e shpejte : sasia e ujit qe do te shtoni varet nga fortesia e mishit qe ju po perdorni, nese nuk eshte gatuar plotesisht vazhdoni shtoni uje. 

Ingredients for peas dish:
  • meat 
  • spring onion 
  • peas 
  • carrot (optional)
  • salt 
  • olive oil 
  • dill and parsley 

Perberesit per gjellen me bizele : 
  • mish
  • qepe te njoma 
  • bizele
  • karrota (opsionale) 
  • kripe
  • vaj ulliri 
  • koper dhe majdanoz 
In a pot put the meat, salt, olive oil and chopped spring onions and cook them together for some minutes in low flame 
Ne nje tenxhere vendos mishin, kripen, vajin e ullirit dhe qepet e njoma te prera dhe se bashku gatuaji per disa minuta ne zjarr te ulet 
Add plenty of water so that the meat simmers. The amount of water depends on the hardness of the meat 
Shto uje te bollshem ne menyre qe mishi te zieje. Sasia e ujit varet nga fortesia e mishit 
When meat begins to soften add the peas and carrots and together continue boiling
Kur mishi fillon te zbutet shtojme bizelet dhe karrotat dhe se bashku vazhdojne zierjen 
While boiling : if necessary add more water 
Gjate zierjes : shto me shume uje nese eshte e nevojshme
Before turning off the heat add dill and parsley and mix well and turn off the heat. Put the lead back on and let it sit for 5 or so minutes before you serve 
Perpara se te fikesh zjarrin shto kopren dhe majdanozin dhe perziej mire, me pas fik zjarrin. Vendos serish kapakun dhe lere te pushoje per rreth 5 minuta para servirjes
