Orange Flavored Cake


Hello there dear readers! I'm sorry for not applying anything lately, but as you all know I've been really busy with all school stuff. I had 5 days off last week but I've been really busy. Anyway 2 days of them I spent at Polis kitchen cooking deserts for student. It was really fun and happy day when everybody was telling me that I finally came to cook good stuff as they call it. It is a great moment when you see you are making others happy...Also this week I learned something important in cooking : salt. Did you know that salt brings out the sweetness of anything you're baking or cooking? I didn't, but I do now. It was really exciting for me to find that out because every recipe I've read has salt in deserts or sweets. And always wondered why, well THAT'S Y! This is a simple delicious orange flavored cake. The ingredients and procedure are really simple and everybody have these ingredients home. Mum used to do this cake really often when we were little girls. Actually it was really exciting for me to do it after a long time. For a long time I've tried different good deserts and kind of left these "old" ones in shadow. Well here I am back and showing you this simple and good tasting cake.

Me vejn keq qe nuk kam postuar gje se fundmi, por sic ju e dini kam qene shume e zene me shkollen.Kam pasur 5 dite pushim javes qe kaloi, por sic e thashe me pare kam qene shume e zene. Gjithsesi 2 nga keto dite te pushimeve i kam kaluar ne guzhines e Polis-it duke gatuar embelsira per studentet. Ishte nje dite e bukur dhe qejf kur te gjithe po thonin qe me ne fund erdha te gatuaj gjera te mira (sic thone ata). Eshte moment i bukur kur shikon qe po bent e tjeret te lumtur…Gjithashtu kete jave mesova dick ate rendesishme ne gatim : kripa. E dinit qe kripa nxjerr ne pah embelsine e cdo gjeje qe gatuani apo piqni? Une nuk e dija, por e di tani. Ishte ndjesi e bukur te gjeja arsyen sepse cdo recete qe kam lexuar ka kripe ne embelsira. Dhe gjithmone pyesja veten pse, JA PSE! Ky eshte nje kek i thjeshte dhe shume i shijshem me shije portokalli. Perberesit dhe procedura jane shume te thjeshta dhe cdokush  i ka keto perberes ne guzhine. Mami im e ka pas bere kete ket shume shpesh kur ne ishim te vogla. Ishte shume bukur qe une ta gatuaja kete recete pas nje kohe te gjate. Per nje kohe te gjate une kam provuar embelsira te ndryshme dhe ne nje fare menyre i kam lene “te vjetrat” ne hije. Epo tashme jam kthyer dhe po ju tregoj receten e ketij keku te thjeshte dhe te shijshem.

Ingredients for orange flavored cake:
  •  3 eggs
  • 500 gram sugar
  • 310 gram plain yogurt 
  • 430 gram all purpose flour 
  • 55 ml sunflower oil  
  • baking powder
  • 1/4 large orange zest (you can use more if you want to)
Perberesit:
  • 3 veze
  • 500 gram sheqer
  • 310 gram kos
  • 430 gram miell
  • 55 ml vaj luledielli  
  • baking powder
  • 1/4 lekure e nje portokalli te madh (mund te perdorni me shume nese deshironi)
In a large bowl put eggs and plain yogurt. Stir together with an electric mixer
Ne nje tas te madh vendosni vezet dhe kosin. Perzieni se bashku me nje rrahese elektrike
 Add sugar and mix again
Shto sheqerin dhe perziej serish
 Add the oil and mix until the ingredients corporate 
Shto vajin dhe perziej perberesit derisa te behen njesh
 Now add the baking powder
Tani shto baking powder
 Cut the orange zest you're using into small chunks
Prit ne copa te vogla lekuren e portokallit qe po perdorni
 Add the flour into the batter and stir 
Shto miellin ne masen dhe perziej

 Now add the chunks of orange zest
Tani shto copat e lekures se portokallit
 Put the batter in a pie-pan dyed with vegetable oil, cooking spray or butter
Vendos masen ne nje tepsi te lyej me vaj, me spray gatimi ose gjalpe(i embel)
 Baking Temperature : 176 grade C,    Timing : until full baking
Temperatura pjekjes : 176 grade C,    Kohe-zgjatja : deri ne pjekje te plote
