Chocolate Cake Roll



If you love chocolate and cream as much as I do, than this is the perfect new obsession. This is the first time I cook it home and the third time at Polis, is one of my favorites sweets, I can tell that for sure. And it was a success at uni, so people are saying the same as me! Is not to difficult in preparation, just see the pics and follow my lead and everything will be all right! 

Nese ju pelqen cokollata dhe kremi aq shume sa me pelqen mua, atehere kjo eshte perfekte per nje fiksim te ri. Eshte hera e pare e gatuaj ne shtepi dhe hera e trete qe e gatuaj tek Polis, eshte nje nga embelsirat e mia te preferuara, mund ta them kete me siguri. Ishte nje sukses i vertete ne universitet, keshtu qe njerezit po thone te njejten gje si une! Nuk eshte e veshtire ne pergatitje, vetem shikoni fotot dhe me ndiqni mua dhe cdo gje do te shkoje mire!


Ingredients for chocolate cake roll:
  • 170 gram bitter chocolate (60%-70%)
  • 3 tablespoons water or strong coffee (I'm using water)
  • 6 eggs, separated 
  • 100 gram sugar
  • 200-300 gram whipping cream 
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons powder sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract  
  • optimal : 1 to 2 tablespoons liqueur of your choice (I'm using Amareto)

Perberesit:
  • 170 gram cokollate e zeze (60%-70%)
  • 3 luge uje ose kafe e forte (une po perdor uje)
  • 6 veze (te ndara)
  • 100 gram sheqer
  • 200-300 gram ajke 
  • 2-3 luge sheqer pluhur 
  • 1 luge caji ekstrakt vanilje ose kristal vanilje  
  • optionale : 1-2 luge gjelle liker sipas deshires (une po perdor Amareto) 
You must have an electric mixer and a mediumpie-pan in a rectangular shape 
(I didn't have a mixer at this post because mine had some problems)

Ju duhet te keni nje rrahese elektrike dhe nje tepsi normale drejtekendore 
(Une nuk perdora rrahesen elektrike pasi e imja kishte disa probleme)
Add the water or coffee to chocolate bowl and melt chocolate with water or coffee in a small saucepan over hot water(not boiling) until it is melted. Set aside
Shto ujin ose kafen ne tasin e cokollates dhe shkrije cokollaten me ujin/kafene ne ne banjo-mari deri sa te tretet. Lere menjane
Put yolks in a medium bowl, add sugar and mix them with electric mixer until yolks are pale and ribonny
Vendosi te verdhat e vezeve ne nje tas, shto sheqerin dhe me rrahesen elektrike rrihi deri sa te krijoje flluska
Gently stir the chocolate into the yolk mixture
Me kujdes perziej cokollaten ne masen e te verdhave te vezeve
Take a clean big bowl and put there the egg whites. Beat them with electric mixer(clean, wash it first before using) until they hold stiff peaks
Ne nje tas te paster vendos te baradhat e vezeve. Rrihi me rrahesen elektrike(te paster, laje perpara se ta perdoresh) deri sa te krijoje maja te ashpra
Add the chocolate measure in a large bowl and than add some of egg white and stir carefully with a spatula or  a hand mixer, than add the other part of egg white and do the same
Vendose masen e cokollates ne nje tas te madh dhe me pas shto nje pjese te te bardhave te vezeve dhe perziej me kujdes me nje spatul ose me nje rrahese dore, pastaj shto pjesen tjeter te te berdhave te vezeve dhe bej po te njejtin veprim
Put at the rectangular pie-pan a baking paper and than add the measure. Make sure that the measure will not be to thick(this was my problem, I didn't have any larger pie-pan so I just put all there) If you don't a have larger pie-pan as I didn't, use the measure in 2 times
Vendose masen ne nje tepsi te mbeshtjelle me leter furre fillimisht. Sigurohu qe masa te mos jete e trashe(ky ishte problemi im, nuk kisha nje tepsi me te madhe keshtu qe vendosa te tere masen aty) Nese nuk keni nje tepsi me te madhe ashtu si une, perdore masen 2 here
Baking Temperature : 177 grade C,   Timing : 15 minutes or until cake layer feels dry (but very soft). Try that with a toothpick and if it comes out clean it is done 
Temperatura pjekjes : 177 grade C,   Kohe-zgjatja : 15 minuta ose deri sa shtresa te duket e thate (por shume e bute). Provoje kete me nje kunje dhembesh dhe nese del e paste atehere ajo eshte gati
Now the preparation of filling : To a clean big bowl add the whipping cream and with the electric mixer stir the measure until fluffy and hold stiff peaks
Tani pergatitja e mbushjes : ne nje tas te pastaj shto ajken dhe me rrahesen elektrike rrihe deri sa te masa te jete kremoze dhe te krijoje maja te ashpra
Add powdered sugar with vanilla and mix again
Shto sheqerin pluhur me vaniljen dhe perziej serish
Add Amareto(or the liquor you are using) and do the same(beat)
Shto Amreton-n (ose likerin qe ju po perdorni) dhe perzieni serish
Baked cake. Set aside for a couple of minutes so it will chill 
Keku i pjekur. Lere menjane per disa minuta ne menyre qe te mpihet
Use a towel or table napkins as I am using. Put the surface of the cake as I am doing and carefully take off the baking paper. Wrap the other part of cake with the rest of the towel or with another table napkin as I am doing. Don't worry about the bottom of cake looking to dark, it is not burned. It's the effect of bitter chocolate 
Perdor nje peshqir ose picete buke ashtu sic po perdor une. Vendose siperfaqen e kekut ashtu sic po bej un dhe me kujdes hiq letren e furres. Mbeshtille dhe pjesen tjeter te kekut me pjesen e mbetur te peshqirit ose me nje tjeter picete buke sic po veproj une. Mos u shqeteso per fundin e kekur nese duket shume i zi, nuk eshte djegur. Eshte efekti i cokollates se zeze
Put pressure on it with your hands, of course gently 
Ushtro pak force me duar, sigurisht me kujdes
Take off the first table napkin and put cream on it, open it all over with a spoon or a spatula 
Hiqe piceten e pare dhe vendos krem mbi te, perhape ne te tere kekun me nje luge ose spatul
Now roll it carefully as I am doing, put a bit pressure when you roll
Tani rrotullo me kujdes sic po veproj une, por ushtro pak force dhe presion kur te rrotullon
